Brighton Prince Regent swimming pool Sussex

The swimming pool is owned by Brighton and Hove Council but is managed and run by DC Leisure.

The pool is situated in the middle of Brighton right near the lanes. I would say that the biggest issue with the pool is that parking can be very expensive especially if you choose to park in the NCP car park which is just up the road from the swimming pool. Parking for a day can cost around £15.00 so it’s really important that you plan car sharing or find a less expensive car park.
There are quite a few cheaper car parts that are in walking distance of the pool, it’s a good idea to know were you are going to park before had other wise you will end up driving round and round the one way system.

The benefit of being so close to the lanes is that there are plenty of shops, cafes and restaurants close by so popping out during the gala you will have lots to see and do.

For those of you who need that caffeine shot first thing in the morning there is a Starbucks coffee shop about a 5 minute walk from the pool.

The viewing area is not too bad at Brighton with a good amount of seating area; they do allow you to carry drinks into the viewing area so you can always take your takeaway coffee in to watch the swimming.

The centre has the following facilities:

  • The main pool is 25m in length and is 6 lanes
  • Gym
  • Health Suite (Sauna, Steam Room)
  • 4 Swimming Pools (Main, Shallow, Teaching, Flexi Pool)
  • Multi-purpose function room
  • Crèche.

Disabled facilities:

•    For wheelchair users there is a system fixed to the side of the staircase that will allow a wheelchair to be transported up to the viewing area where the surface is then flat.  We have only seen this system used once so we think that you will need to ask for an operator to assist in its use.

Program cost - You will need to buy a program but we are not sure what the cost will be for each meet, I can be around £5 per day.

Swimming gala kit check list – On this page you find a helpful list of what to take with you for a meet, this is just a helpful guide just in case you are unsure what is needed. Click on the Swimming gala kit check list link to view the page.

How to find the Prince Regent Swimming Pool Complex - The pool located right in the centre of Brighton it's really easy to find, the best thing to do is have a look at the Google map
